About Minichat TV

A short page, because there is not much to it. One tap, one person, for as long as it holds.

What this is

A browser site for short one-to-one video calls with people you have not met.

You open minichat.tv, the browser asks for your camera and microphone, you press one button, and you are on video with one woman. If the conversation works you keep going. If it does not, you move on. There is no profile to build first and no registration form in the way.

The front page explains the mechanics properly — what a call costs, what the browser needs, what happens when you press Next.

What this is not

Not an app, not a dating profile site, and not another company's web version.

We do not publish an app. If your phone offers to add this site to your home screen, that is a browser shortcut, not an install.

There is more than one product in the world with a name close to this one, including at least one well-known app with its own company behind it. Minichat TV is not it. We are an independent site at minichat.tv. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any other service with a similar name, we are not its web edition, and we are not a mirror of it. If that is what you were looking for, this is the wrong tab, and we would rather say so here than let you find out after allowing camera access.

Any names belonging to other companies are theirs. We mention them only to say which things are different from each other.

Where the name came from

The calls are short, and the address was available.

Mini describes the unit. One call, one other person, no obligation afterwards — that is a deliberately small thing, and plenty of ways to meet people online are built on the opposite premise of accumulating matches and keeping a dozen conversations warm.

The tv is there because what you look at is a moving picture of a person, and because minichat.tv was a domain we could have. We are not going to invent a better story than that.

How it pays for itself

Calls are free to start, then priced per minute in coins.

Opening the site costs nothing and the first stretch of a call costs nothing. After that a prompt appears telling you the per-minute rate in coins, and you decide. Nothing is charged before you have seen the number.

There is no subscription you have to cancel and no trial that quietly converts. We also do not print a coin figure on our marketing pages, because a stale number here would be worse than no number — the terms say the same thing in more formal language.

Things we will not do

Fake numbers, fake reviews, and pretending to be somebody else.

You will not find a user count, a star rating or a testimonial anywhere on this site. Not because we are modest — because we would have had to make them up, and a number you cannot verify is worth nothing to you and costs us our credibility the first time somebody checks.

The same goes for claims about the product. If a page here does not state something, it is usually because we could not stand behind it, not because we forgot.
